  • I have a new company and didn’t work at all with it last year. Do I still need to file a tax return?
    Yes, you do. The IRS mandates every company to file a federal tax return by March 15th, even if there was no business conducted. Missing this deadline will cost you a minimum of $200/per month/per shareholder  – that adds up quickly! We can file a ZERO return for a mere $50.
  • I started my company and didn’t keep track of anything – can you help me?
    Of course! Let’s first file an extension until September 15th and then get together to compile the data needed for the tax preparation. Check out our bookkeeping services.
  • I don’t want to pay for bookkeeping – can I compile the data needed myself? What do you need?
    Best is a profit and loss statement created through professional bookkeeping software. If you have a smaller company, a spreadsheet might work as well. In a pinch, we can accept a hand written list of all your income and expenses totals for the year.
  • I understand the income part – what expenses can I deduct?
    This depends on your business, but very broadly put, anything you use in your business to make money is a deduction. Examples are phone, internet (not cable), insurance, office expenses, supplies and materials, payroll, auto expenses, travel & entertainment (business only), bank fees, licenses, cont. Education, interest, advertising, repairs, rent, utilities, etc. Please email us for a complete list of expenses for your industry.
  • Got it – so how do we go from here? How can I make this less stressful for me?
    You will be surprised by how easy the process actually is once you’ve decided which way to go.
